Resume services

Being unemployed sucks. A lot of our friends are looking for work and competition is fierce. I read the other day that a single janitorial position in Ohio received 700 applications. Finding work anytime is hard, but in this economy, it’s hell in a handbasket.

This is why we’re now offering resume services. We’ll happily provide free templates that you can download (scroll down). If you would like help writing the text of your resume, we’ll work with you on that.

What’s the charge? This is a donation service. Donate what you can, what you think it’s worth. Hell, if you can’t afford to give us any money, we’ll work for barter. If you can’t think of anything to barter, then find a way to pay it forward: help someone else when you get the chance. Let us know what works for you.

There is no catch. This isn’t a money-making scheme. This is us wanting to help our friends when they’re in need.

We can be contacted at resumes AT thecarruths DOT net. This address will send your email to both Ben and Lindsay.

Free templates:

  • Technical Resume (good for call center & tech support)
  • … more templates coming soon!

How to use these templates:

  • All of the information needs to be changed to your own bits, but the parts in red are most important. Some non-red stuff does not need to be changed. It should actually be fairly self-explanitory when you see the file.
  • If you do not want to put your home address on your resume, put the email address on the left and your phone number on the right.
  • Rename the file as “Firstname Lastname Resume.doc”.
  • This file was originally created in MS Word 2003.
  • The boxes you see in the document are for alignment purposes only; they will not show up on a printed copy of your resume.
